볼륨(Volume) 이란 간단히 말해서 주식의 거래량 이라고 보면된다. Volume은 줄여서 VOL로 표기되고 주식 app 또는 사이트에서 본인이 설정한 값에 따라 초단위 부터 년단위까지 다양하게 볼 수 있다. VOL에는 주식의 매수, 매도를 모두 포함한 거래량이며 시간 또는 일자 등의 거래량의 증감에 따라 기술적 분석에 큰 도움을 준다.

VOL하나로 주식 거래를 보는건 좋지않다. VOL에도 차트 모양에 따라 U자형, 돔 모향 패턴이 존재한다 하는데, 해당 분석은 사실 크게 도움이 되지않고 거래량 증감을 보면서 다른 지표들과 함께 분석하는걸 추천한다. 또한 대다수의 데이터 분석이 그렇듯 Data raw 값이 적을 경우 Bug 값이 나타나 평균 및 분석에 오류를 주는 경우가 많이 발생하는데 특히 VOL의 경우에는 거래량이 평소 많던 주식이 아니라면 변동성이 더욱 커 분석의 실효성이 없는 경우가 많다.

 

거의 없 는일 이지만 거래량이 기준에 미달할 경우 상장 폐지가 되는 경우도 존재한다.
