 RSI는 MACD 다음으로 기술적 분석을 할때 자주 쓰이는 지표이다. 해당 지표는 1978년 Welles Wilder가 주가의 상승, 하락의 추세에 따라 그 폭을 계산하여 수치화 한 후 이를 백분율로 계산해 나타낸 그래프 이다. 이는 과매도, 과매수를 시각적으로 보기 매우 편하며  보통 70이상을 과매수 30이하를 과매도 구간으로 본다.

RSI is the second most frequently used indicator for technical analysis after MACD. The indicator is a graph showing the width calculated and quantified by Welles Wilder in 1978 according to the trend of rising and falling stock prices, and then calculated as a percentage. This is very convenient to visually see oversold and oversold, and usually 70 or more and 30 or less are considered oversold sections.

RSI를  계산하는 방법은 일정 기간 동안 상승량, 하락량의 평균을 내서 수치화 한다.

1. 주가가 전날 보다 상승했을 경우 오른 값을 U(up)
2. 주가가 전날 보다 하락했을 경우 내린 값을 D(down)
3. U와 D의 값의 평균을 계산해 AU(Average Ups)와 AD(Average Downs)를 구한다.
4. AU/AD 값을 RS(Relateive Strength) 라고 한다.
5. RSI는 RS/(1+RS) = AU/(AU+AD)  로 백분율화 해서 계산한다.
6. RSI 지표는 보통 9, 14, 28 일 간격으로 본다.
7. (RSI 기간, 이동평균선) 으로 그래프에 표시한다.

The method of calculating RSI is quantified by averaging the amount of increase and decrease over a certain period of time.

1. If the stock price rises from the previous day, the price increased by U (up)
2. If the stock price falls from the previous day, the value lowered is D (down)
3. Average Ups (AU) and Average Downs (AD) are obtained by calculating the average of the values of U and D.
4. The AU/AD value is referred to as RS (relative strength).
5. The RSI is calculated by percentaging RS/(1+RS) = AU/(AU+AD).
6. RSI indicators are usually viewed at 9, 14, and 28 day intervals.
7. (RSI period, moving average line) shown on the graph.

RSI의 경우도 마찬가지로 기술적 지표로서 주식을 매매 할때 참고용으로 쓰이는 지표이지만 맹신해서는 안되는 지표이다. 이전에 MACD에서도 언급 하였듯 기술적 지표와 실제 시장동향, 기업분석이 함께 이루어져야 한다.

 

보통 RSI는 30이하 매수 70이상 매도를 기본으로 하며 MACD의 지표와 함께 보는게 일반적인 분석방법이다.

 

 

 

 

위 사진은 편의상 주 단위로 NASDAQ 차트를 나타낸것인데, 1. RSI지표와 2. MACD지표를 같이 보고 RSI의 수치가 낮고 MACD 수치가 0이하에서 상승할때 지점에 매수하는 방법이 통상적으로 사용하는 방법중 하나이다. 

위와 같이 시장지표를 보면서 전체적인 주식 지표의 흐름과 함께 RSI, MACD의 지표를 활용하는 매매는 주식의 승률을 조금 높일 수 있는 쉬우면서도 효과적인 방법이라 할 수 있다.
